I’m officially into my second week of using this platform and I am slowly starting to find my feet. It’s taken a little bit of mucking around and brainstorming to really know how I’m going to embrace this platform moving forward. At a minimum I will offer my paid subscribers an exclusive recipe each week as well as access to the community chat and recipe archives.
Side note: Thank you so much to everyone that has subscribed so far, even though the recipe archive is at it’s very beginning and hence, not very full of recipes yet. I appreciate your confidence in me and your support.
My goal is to start adding even more value over time. I had a comment from one subscriber saying that she loves my recipes but isn’t a fan of the advertisements on my website. Hence why she was interested in subscribing to my Substack to avoid ads.
I will say quickly, to be able to provide the free content I do on my website, I have to run ads to cover the costs of recipe development. And ultimately my goal is to continue growing my website content + traffic so that I can continue to make a living doing what I love.
But I do completely understand that ads can be really annoying. And I take all of your feedback on board because I want there to be a really good user experience at ournourishingtable.com. So what I thought I might do is to start adding some of my favourite recipes from my website, like this Beetroot and Goats’ Cheese Salad, into the Our Nourishing Week Archive. This way, if you’re a paid subscriber, you can have access to these recipes without the ads.
My goal is to add one existing recipe from my website each week, as well as the exclusive recipe. If I add too many too quickly then you will be bombarded with emails and I don’t think that’s fun for anyone.
